Job summary

Arcadia Care in Springfield, IL is seeking a Director of Nursing to plan, organize, and direct the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain the highest quality of care.

The DON will coordinate nursing services with other resident services, supervise staff, and perform administrative duties while ensuring adequate staffing, medications, and safety equipment for each shift.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN.
• 3 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role, preferred. #ACHL DON

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Ensure enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.
