Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Director of Nursing to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Nursing Department in line with federal, state, and local standards. The role ensures the highest quality of resident care and compliance under the Administrator and Medical Director.

The incumbent will lead policy development, QA initiatives, and coordination with other resident services, while overseeing staffing, evaluations, infection control, and MDS planning as part of a comprehensive care program.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of supervisor experience in a hospital or nursing facility.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be a supportive team member and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department and its programs.
• Develop and update policies and procedures governing day-to-day nursing operations.
• Coordinate with other resident services to ensure continuity of care and participate in QA activities.
• Assist HR in evaluations and disciplinary actions; document properly.
• Monitor infection control and TB management; report exposures and maintain safety.
• Review nurses' notes for accuracy and monitor medication passes; provide direct care as needed.
• Coordinate continuing education and in-service training for nursing staff.
• Assist with MDS planning and resident care reviews when applicable.
