Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC seeks an experienced Nursing Director to lead clinical operations in a skilled nursing facility. You will develop policies, supervise nursing staff, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining excellent resident care.

You will oversee admissions, staffing, QA activities, infection control, and educational programs, partnering with leadership to improve outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with NYS RN license and current CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility.
• Minimum of two years in nursing administration or management.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills; knowledge of policies, personnel management and clinical best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures aligning with standards and regulations.
• Communicates policies to staff and monitors compliance.
• Participates in admissions decisions and pre-admission visits when requested.
• Participates in management meetings to review resident status and census changes.
• Evaluates performance of nursing personnel.
• Performs rounds to ensure services, staffing, cleanliness and safety.
• Oversees CNA certification program and supervision of students.
• Reviews 24-hour unit reports and follows up on events and medication errors.
• Manages nursing schedules to meet resident needs.
• Recruits and selects nursing personnel.
• Develops and delivers in-service education for staff.
• Fosters positive employee relations and teamwork.
• Assists in conflict resolution and OSHA compliance supervision.
• Implements infection control program and monitors trends.
• Participates in QA Committee and survey preparedness.
• Supports inspection surveys and Plan of Correction responses.
• Coordinates care with residents, families, and medical staff.
• Ensures high quality care and resident rights.
