Job summary

COMMUNITY PHARMACY seeks an experienced Director of Nursing RN to lead the nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The role oversees daily operations, staffing, and policy implementation to meet regulatory standards and organizational goals.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage budgets, collaborate across departments, and champion safety and professional growth within the facility.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in NJ is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Director of Nursing or equivalent.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care assignments.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and organizational goals.
• Provide guidance, education, training, and mentoring to nursing staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Conduct quality assessment and improvement activities, including peer review and quality initiatives.
• Develop and manage budgets for the nursing department to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Foster a culture of safety, respect, and high employee morale within the facility.
• Serve as a role model and advocate for patients, families, and employees.
