Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking an experienced nursing leader to manage outpatient clinical and operational performance across the lifespan. You will supervise nursing staff, guide education, and participate in cross-functional projects to enhance patient care.

The role requires 3–5 years of outpatient leadership, a NYS RN license with a BSN, and familiarity with DOH/JCAHO standards and VFC programs. A Master’s degree is preferred, with full-time hours Monday–Friday in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NYS; BSN required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in outpatient/ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day clinical operations in the outpatient primary care setting to ensure safe, high-quality care across the lifespan.
• Provides clinical supervision and guidance to nursing staff; leads nursing team meetings and coordinates staff education.
• Participates in committees and projects to support outpatient care.
• Assists with staffing plans and daily schedules for adequate coverage.
• Monitors patient flow, appointment efficiency, and clinical operations; implements improvements.
• Analyzes clinical/operational metrics to drive performance improvement.
• Participates in budget planning and cost-efficiency initiatives; supports recruitment and evaluations.
• Ensures staff meet mandatory education on infection control, safety, and risk management.
• Supports learning culture and professional growth within outpatient nursing care.
• Engages in continuous quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
