Job summary

Montefiore Medical Group seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of outpatient nursing services. The role partners with the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include staffing, daily operations, and contributing to policy development. Candidates should have strong nursing management background, outstanding leadership, and a commitment to Montefiore Medical Group's standards

Qualifications

Valid New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration.
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field required.
Master of Science degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Minimum of 4 years management experience required.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
Effective management skills necessary to organize direct and evaluate patient care off shift operations.
Ability to apply and utilize balanced scorecard measures (customer service, financial, innovation and growth, and performance improvement).
Critical thinking and analytic skills necessary for problem solving and clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

Participates in the development and management of Quality Improvement projects in line with Joint Commission and NYS DOH guidelines.
Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day ambulatory nursing operations.
Assist to hire and monitor nursing and support staff; collaborate with CCNCs to ensure safe, timely patient management.
