Job summary

Atlantic Surgery Center is seeking a Nursing Director (RN) to lead clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide nursing staff in an expanding two-OR ambulatory center for ophthalmic procedures.

The role requires an active NJ RN license with a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of nursing/management experience, and current BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed). Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential for success in this fast-paced ASC environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Active NJ Registered Nurse license.
• Three years of nursing and management experience in hospital or ASC.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; PALS where necessary.
• Experience with accreditation processes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear direction to staff and promote efficiency across clinical areas.
• Set priorities and manage staffing in a fast-paced environment.
• Supervise center operations and ensure smooth functioning.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Assess, plan, and ensure high-quality patient care from admission to discharge.
• Interview, select, and retain qualified staff to meet facility needs.
• Lead teaching, engagement, and growth of staff; mentor and collaborate as a team leader.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and uphold center policies.
