Job summary

AtlantiCare seeks a Director of Nursing for our Surgery Center in New Jersey. You will provide clinical leadership, oversee daily operations, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care. The role includes staff development, budgeting, infection control, and acting as Administrator in the absence of leadership.

NJ RN license with BLS required; ACLS preferred; BSN preferred. Join a hospital-affiliated team with a strong commitment to safety, education, and patient

Qualifications

• BSN preferred or 5+ years of supervisory/administrative healthcare experience.
• Current NJ RN license with BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• National certification in specialty preferred, with 3 years of clinical experience in the specialty.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure expert nursing care delivery through staff education and evidence-based practice.
• Supervise staff to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Review growth objectives and assist with planning and budgeting for nursing operations.
• Resolve staff, patient, and physician issues promptly; escalate when needed.
• Complete performance reviews for direct reports and monitor budgets.
• Prepare staff schedules and provide ongoing competency training.
• Act as onsite infection control representative and ensure USP 800 compliance.
• Communicate updates and education needs to staff and physicians.
• Promote teamwork and quality customer service to meet organizational goals.
• Act as Acting Administrator when the Administrator is unavailable.
