Job summary
HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Director of Nursing for the Springfield, IL area. This onsite role leads Med Surg, overseeing operations, staffing, and budgetary performance while driving quality and efficiency.
The candidate will develop systems, monitor KPIs, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Requirements include a RN license, a Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) with potential to obtain within 2 years, and at least 5 years of nursing experience with 3 years in leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; BSN obtained within 2 years may be considered.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of nursing experience and 3+ years of leadership experience required.
- Licensed RN in the state of practice; BLS required.
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight and leadership within the assigned area.
- Manages operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities.
- Plans and allocates resources to staff department and meet goals.
- Evaluates processes to improve speed, quality, and output.
- Prepares periodic management reports and monitors performance.
