Job summary

HSHS in Springfield, IL seeks an experienced nursing leader to oversee operations within the Med Surge department. The role focuses on budgeting, staffing, and process optimization to meet quality and productivity goals.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, RN licensure, 5 years of nursing experience and 3 years of leadership, with a Master’s preferred. Schedule is 40 hours weekly, full-time.

Qualifications

• 5 years of nursing experience
• 3 years of leadership experience
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
• Wisconsin RN multi-state license per Nurse Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and leads within assigned area of responsibility.
• Manages operating budgets and financial responsibilities.
• Plans, staff allocation and resource management to meet productivity goals.
• Implements processes to improve speed, quality and efficiency.
• Prepares periodic reports for management and leadership review.
• Provides leadership and guidance in financial reporting and budget preparation.
