Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Nursing Leader to plan, integrate, and evaluate nursing resources across patient care areas. The role provides leadership to establish standards, goals, and direction while promoting professional development of staff.

The incumbent ensures patient care outcomes align with organizational objectives, maintains nursing competencies, and supports a safe, collaborative work environment. RN licensure in NC and ongoing education are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years progressive leadership experience
• Experience in healthcare management and staff development
• RN licensure in North Carolina or Compact state; BLS/CPR required; NE-BC or equivalent management certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred (BSN) or higher; Master’s in Healthcare Related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees efficient management of human resources, including interviewing, hiring, and scheduling.
• Ensures department standards meet organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Manages department budget, cost-containment, and program needs analysis.
• Develops and maintains staff performance criteria and professional development initiatives.
• Promotes a collaborative work environment and effective conflict resolution.
