Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an Registered Oncology Nurse to lead and coordinate outpatient cancer care with physicians and the care team. You will build authentic patient relationships, assess and plan individualized care, and support patients and families throughout their health journey in a compassionate environment.

Required RN licensure, oncology certification within 30 months, and 1–2 years oncology experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• RN license active and in good standing in the appropriate state.
• Oncology nursing certification (OCN, BMT) within 30 months of employment with signed OCN agreement.
• Minimum 1–2 years nursing experience, preferably oncology.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; refresher requirements if license lapsed.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality nursing care in an outpatient setting.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatments, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Advocate for patients and uphold professional standards and organizational policies.
