Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group in Iowa is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a skilled nursing facility's Nursing Service, ensuring resident-centered care and a home-like environment. You will mentor clinical staff, coordinate with leadership, and uphold quality standards.

This role requires an RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and at least two years of supervisory experience in long-term care, with strong collaboration with administration and medical leadership.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Must possess a current CPR or BLS certification.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a nursing or related healthcare setting.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, manage, and direct the Nursing Service Department.
• Collaborate with Administrator and Medical Director to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, policies and procedures.
• Foster staff development and create a supportive, home-like environment for residents.
