Job summary

The Waters is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee all aspects of nursing services and therapy department operations. You will supervise staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across shifts.

Reporting to the Administrator, you will lead the nursing team, plan staff development, and participate in budgeting and quality assurance initiatives to support the facility’s commitment to compassionate care for residents.

Qualifications

• Current valid RN license in good standing in the state the facility resides in.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in nursing service administration.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services 24/7 with accountability for training and staff development.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel and participate in recruitment and termination activities.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team and administration to plan, budget, and ensure quality resident care.
• Ensure documentation reflects nursing care and resident responses.
• Lead compliance with Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• Plan staff development programs to enhance resident care quality.
