Job summary

STG International (STGi) is seeking a Director of Nursing in Kinston, NC. The role leads the nursing services department, ensures resident-centered care, and collaborates with health professionals to fulfill the facility's mission.

The Director will develop and maintain a robust QAPI program, monitor clinical performance, and oversee staff development. Requires RN licensure in the state and supervisory experience in a related health care setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related health care facility.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing care aligns with residents' wishes and advance directives.
• Provide individualized, culturally competent care based on resident preferences.
• Plan, direct, and evaluate the nursing services department and its programs.
• Collaborate with health care professionals for resident care and facility mission.
• Develop, implement, and maintain a QAPI program for nursing services.
• Monitor 24‑hour and shift change reports for timely responses to changes in residents' condition.
• Oversee staff development to ensure nursing team has needed tools and training.
• Work with Infection Preventionist to establish infection prevention and control.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules as ordered.
• Participate in QAPI Committee and risk management/safety committees.
