Job summary

Tipton Oak Manor in Tipton, Missouri is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standard of resident care. The DON will coordinate care with a hands-on management style, supervise staff, develop policies, and maintain compliance with long-term care regulations while keeping patient safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience (1 year) in a care setting (Required).
• Long-term care experience (2 years) preferred.
• RN license required (RN).
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates resident care with a hands-on management style.
• Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies.
• Flexible during staff shortages or emergencies; works days and shifts as needed.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions to ensure quality care.
• Leads recruitment by interviewing qualified staff.
• Promotes respect, growth, and regulatory compliance in nursing staff.
