Tipton Oak Manor in Tipton, Missouri is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standard of resident care. The DON will coordinate care with a hands-on management style, supervise staff, develop policies, and maintain compliance with long-term care regulations while keeping patient safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience (1 year) in a care setting (Required).
• Long-term care experience (2 years) preferred.
• RN license required (RN).
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

TIPTON OAK MANOR, located in Tipton, Missouri is currently seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team.

Director of Nursing Duties and Responsibilities:

• The coordination of resident care with a \"hands on\" management style
• Strong organizational skills
• Develops, reviews, and revises nursing and clinical policies
• Able to work days but also willing to be flexible during a staff shortage or emergency situation
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and disciplinary situations to ensure quality care of residents
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Long-Term Care Regulations
• Ability to lead in the recruitment of qualified staff by conducting interviews
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Ability to focus on customer service and collaboration with other departments to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related functions
• Promote an atmosphere of respect, professional growth, and encouragement for all nursing staff members and assure regulatory standards and company goals are met or exceeded
• Responsible for cost controls by monitoring the use of supplies and equipment
