Job summary

Regency at Augusta is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a solid clinical team and join an experienced leadership group. The DON will oversee nursing supervision, care planning, and regulatory compliance to ensure high-quality resident care.

The role emphasizes mentorship, compassionate resident engagement, and collaboration with physicians and families while driving quality improvement and staff development in Assisted and Memory Care settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years nursing supervisory experience.
• Prior Assisted and Memory Care living experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire team members.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to serve with love, compassion, and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment of prospective residents, including off-site visits.
• Performs wellness assessments and develops individualized care plans.
• Delivers health promotion services, disease prevention counseling, and self-care education.
• Engages with residents and family members with compassion and dignity.
• Fosters communication with physicians, healthcare providers, and family members.
• Hires, trains, schedules, and leads the clinical team to provide exceptional care.
• Coordinates infection control program and regulatory compliance.
• Develops and oversees the medication management program.
• Contributes to quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Complies with confidentiality and privacy of resident information.
