Job summary

Illinois Pain & Spine Institute in Barrington, IL seeks a Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing and clinical operations at our Barrington location. You will lead staffing, scheduling, employee development, quality improvements, and regulatory compliance to uphold patient safety and care standards.

The role focuses on infection prevention, life safety, reports, and collaboration with physicians to ensure excellence in surgical center operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with clinical experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise staff with appropriate staffing and scheduling.
• Oversee orientation, training, competencies, and ongoing development.
• Monitor patient complaints, incidents, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain CMS, Joint Commission, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee infection prevention programs and staff education.
• Manage life safety programs, drills, and documentation.
• Oversee radiation safety requirements and staff compliance.
• Ensure required quality, safety, and regulatory reports are completed.
• Promote a positive, collaborative environment among staff and physicians.
• Participate in quality, safety, infection control, and staff meetings.
