Job summary

Illinois Pain & Spine Institute in Barrington, IL is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our ambulatory surgery center. You will provide high-quality care before, during, and after procedures, with a Monday–Friday outpatient schedule and no overnight shifts.

The ideal candidate holds an active Illinois RN license, ADN or higher, and a current BLS certification, with at least 1 year of OR/PACU experience and strong clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license is required.
• ADN or higher is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• At least 1 year of OR and/or PACU experience.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-procedure assessments and monitor patient status throughout care.
• Obtain and evaluate vital signs and recognize changes requiring intervention.
• Provide nursing care before, during, and after procedures, including recovery.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatment and support safe discharge.
• Communicate patient needs and clinical changes to physicians and other providers.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Develop and maintain individualized nursing care plans.
• Supervise support personnel and promote safe clinical practices.
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, staff education, and ongoing professional development.

Illinois Pain & Spine Institute (IPSI) is an established interventional pain organization with more than 25 years of experience providing specialized patient care. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery center team in Barrington.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys the surgical environment but wants the consistency of a weekday outpatient schedule.

The Role

As an ASC Registered Nurse, you will help ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care before, during, and following their procedures. You'll assess patients, monitor their progress, coordinate with the surgical team, and help prepare patients and families for recovery and discharge.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Active Illinois RN license
• ADN or higher
• Current BLS certification

Preferred

• BSN
• CPAN certification
• Additional ASC or surgical nursing experience
