Job summary

Advanced-Health-Care-6 is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and promote clinical excellence in resident care. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff, while ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality outcomes.

You will develop policies, mentor staff, manage recruitment, and collaborate with physicians and administrators to coordinate care. This role emphasizes leadership, advocacy for residents, and continuous performance improvement.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state where work is performed.
• 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience in healthcare or long-term care.
• Strong clinical knowledge in assessment, care planning, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership and management abilities to inspire staff and ensure excellence.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing practice and long-term care, including Medicare/Medicaid.
• Commitment to resident-centered care, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to build rapport with residents through compassion and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department for safe, effective, and compassionate resident care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and standards of practice in line with regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and admins to coordinate resident care and outcomes.
• Monitor nursing services, resident assessments, care planning, medication management, and infection control for compliance and improvement.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and ongoing education to staff.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and retention of nursing staff and staffing plans.
• Educate employees on job expectations and regulations; assign tasks with quality focus.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities; regulatory survey readiness.
• Act as liaison with residents and families to address concerns and ensure open communication.
• Manage nursing department budget and resources to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay informed about trends and regulations in nursing care and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
