Job summary

Westpark-A-Waters-Community is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the clinical department and ensure quality care for residents, in compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.

The DON oversees nursing and therapy services, mentors staff, manages admissions and care plans, and participates in budgeting and policy development while maintaining 24/7 resident care.

Qualifications

• Maintains a current, valid RN license in good standing in the state the facility resides in.
• Minimum one year of experience in nursing service administration; additional education in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations as they pertain to long term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing services and therapy department to ensure quality resident care.
• Directs and monitors all nursing care activities 24/7.
• Leads in-service trainings and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
