Richardson is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee the nursing department and provide direct resident care when needed. The role involves policy development, staff supervision, and coordination with physicians and families in a residential care setting.

The DON will ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and ongoing QA activities while managing budgets and staff performance. A BSN and active state licensure plus several years of nursing management experience are expected.

Formación

• BSN preferred; must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• Minimum of 7 years nurse management experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and policies.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and that residents are treated with respect.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Budgeting and reporting for the department.
• Liaise between facility, physicians and families.
• Provide direct resident care as needed.
