Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group's Cascade Valley Assisted Living and Memory Care in Milton-Freewater, OR is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee daily resident care operations, ensure excellence in nursing practice, and maintain licensure compliance.

Requires a current Oregon RN license; preferred Bachelor's in Nursing and certifications in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics, or psychiatric nursing; minimum two years' experience as nursing services supervisor in long-term care.

Qualifications

Current Oregon RN license is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Certification in Rehab Nursing, geriatrics or psychiatric nursing preferred.
Minimum two years' experience as nursing services supervisor in long-term care.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains a nursing service philosophy, objectives and standards of practice.
Establishes systems for care planning, assessments, plans and discharge planning.
Recruits, interviews, hires, disciplines, coaches and conducts performance appraisals.
Maintains knowledge of certification laws, survey requirements and Medicare program.
Ensures reporting departments meet licensure/state/federal requirements; coordinates QA program.
Directs ED functions in the absence of the Executive Director.
