Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare is seeking an Registered Nurse to supervise staff, monitor patients, and develop care plans for residents in a long-term care setting in Salem, Oregon. The RN will administer medications, document care, and coordinate with physicians to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Applicants should have an accredited RN program graduate, an active RN license in Oregon, and CPR certification. Six months of long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Current RN Licensure in the State employed.
  • Valid CPR Certification.
  • Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
  • BSN preferred (as per education)

Responsibilities

  • Provides the highest quality of patient care to facility residents/patients.
  • Documents care performed and observations of resident status in the clinical record promptly by utilizing standard clinical documentation guidelines as required by the facility, and local, state and federal rules and regulations.
  • Communicates with resident’s physician.
  • Completes all nursing documentation: assessments, orders, progress notes, flowsheets, consents, and any assigned tasks and ensures that said documentation accurately reflects services required by the resident and provided to the residents.
  • Assists with medication management to promote safety and effectiveness for residents by administering medications as ordered and documenting appropriately.
