Job summary

Caldwell Medical Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to champion a culture of clinical excellence and zero-harm patient safety across Med/Surg and ED. You will partner with Medical Staff and Executive Leadership to raise bedside standards and guide policy, budgeting, and staffing decisions.

The role requires Kentucky licensure, 5+ years in nursing management, and strong clinical governance skills to drive continuous quality improvement and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• BSN licensure in Kentucky with an unencumbered license.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing management experience.
• Leadership certifications preferred (CNL/CEN/CPHQ).

Responsibilities

• Establish policies governing nursing services and supervise staff.
• Develop budget processes for staffing and services rendered.
• Lead QAPI activities and clinical quality improvement.
• Ensure CMS CoPs compliance and patient safety standards.
• Coordinate with Medical Staff and leadership on protocols and transfer criteria.
• Oversee performance evaluations and coaching for nursing personnel.
