Job summary

Harbor Point Skilled Nursing seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing department under the Executive Director. You will supervise 24/7 nursing care, ensure quality standards per Federal, State and company regulations, and maintain resident care plans in collaboration with physicians.

You will recruit, develop and manage nursing staff, approve schedules, monitor budgets and conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance, while maintaining resident confidentiality and a safe facility

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in nursing required.
Texas RN license required or eligible for licensure.
Minimum 3+ years of nursing administration experience.
Strong knowledge of state/federal long-term care regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee 24-hour nursing operations in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
Recruit, hire, and develop nursing staff; manage orientation and training.
Develop and maintain nursing department objectives and written policies.
Monitor staffing levels and budget; approve schedules and timekeeping.
Ensure resident care plans, confidentiality, and quality of care; coordinate with physicians and families.
