Job Overview

The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the nursing clinical leader for the community, responsible for leading health and wellness, care coordination, regulatory compliance, recruiting, and performance management.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Managing Health And Wellness

• Provide strategic leadership for resident care, managing the nursing team per State/Provincial law.
• Perform resident assessments, document progress, evaluate care needs, and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other providers to coordinate care.
• Serve as CLIA Director as applicable.
• Partner with Neighborhood Coordinators and Sales to promote wellness and assess community capacity.

Medication Management

• Oversee medication management programs to ensure resident safety.
• Provide clinical training and perform skill evaluations.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Track clinical quality data, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, performance, and scheduling.
• Lead infection control and risk management efforts.

Financial & Team Development

• Manage department budget and process expenses.
• Partner with leadership for training, onboarding, and compliance.
• Attend meetings, stay updated on professional developments, and ensure team training compliance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license, graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in a long-term care or similar setting.
• 1 year of nursing management experience.
• CPR and First Aid certified.
• Knowledge of infection control, regulatory requirements, and clinical practices.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
