Qualifications

• Must be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester.
• Must be a current pre-licensure BSN student within the Nevada State University School of Nursing.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Attends all required trainings every semester and meetings during the week or breaks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Attend all lectures of the assigned classes and model effective learning behaviors.
• Plan and run weekly supplemental instruction (SI) sessions with faculty support.
• Provide one-on-one and group tutoring to nursing students.
• Assist with nursing skills practice and coaching for student success.
• Notify students of upcoming workshops and support events outside scope.
• Meet regularly with NSSC staff and collaborating instructors for feedback.
