Job summary

Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing or related field required.
Specialty certification related to a clinical practice required.
Valid New Jersey Nursing License required.

Responsibilities

Assesses the need for plans and implements quality improvement programs.
Plans with the staff to identify interventions within the plan of care and evaluates effectiveness of interventions for resolution or preventing patient care problems.
Critically evaluates existing practice based on current research findings and integrates changes into practice.
Utilizes the research process to improve patient care outcomes and enhance the environment of care.
Serves as a mentor and role model by participating in the resolution of ethical and clinical dilemmas.
Promotes recruitment and retention by providing guidance, support and professional development to the staff and students.
Promotes a learning environment that enables nursing and other healthcare personnel to make optimal contributions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
