Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Clinical Placement Manager to oversee the administration of student clinical placements for undergraduate and graduate programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in higher education, nursing, administration, or management.
• Master's degree preferred; experience managing databases is desired.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong communication, customer service, prioritization, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and secures clinical site placements for assigned students with approved sites and preceptors.
• Manages database of clinical agencies, preceptors and orientation requirements.
• Tracks progress in completing required training and documentation for clinical placement.
• Approves or denies submitted student documentation according to guidelines.
• Participates in planning and executing new student orientation activities and leads placement-related presentations.
• Collaborates with academic leaders to assess placement needs and requirements.
• Initiates and maintains communication with clinical sites and faculty regarding placements.
• Schedules coordination meetings to review needs and priorities, ensuring timely placements.
• Initiates the clinical contract process for new sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
