Job summary

Orbis Education in San Antonio, TX, seeks Adjunct Clinical Instructors for the University of Incarnate Word ABSN program to oversee clinical education and mentor students in real-world settings.

You will support skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking while coordinating with faculty and the healthcare partner. A strong candidate holds an MSN, two years of clinical nursing practice, and an active Texas RN license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of successful clinical nursing practice.
• Master's degree in nursing required.
• Current unencumbered RN license in Texas or other compact state.
• Able to work 12 hour shifts in a clinical setting if required.
• Preferred: Two years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting.
• Provide guidance for students in professionalism, practice, and research.
• Select and organize learning activities to meet course objectives.
• Ensure effective evaluations of student practice.
• Promote evidence-based practice.
• Provide feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel.
• Collaborate with faculty and healthcare partner staff.
• Attend required orientation and faculty meetings.
