Job summary

St. David's Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Manager of Nursing Case Management in Austin, TX. This leadership role oversees hospital-based case management, coordinates staff, and ensures adherence to policy and quality standards.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and the care team to promote patient-centered care, optimize throughput, and balance care with resource use. A Bachelor’s in Nursing or MSW and 3+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• RN with bachelor’s degree in nursing or MSW preferred.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing or hospital social work experience required.
• Certification in Case Management or InterQual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and facilitate development of staff in the Case Management department.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations and staffing of the department.
• Ensure staff competency in InterQual and progress the plan of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members for timely patient management.
• Monitor quality of CM interactions and documentation; perform audits regularly.
• Participate in clinical performance improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams.
• Cover department supervision in the Director’s absence and manage scheduling.
