Job summary

U K Healthcare Ltd in Lexington, KY is seeking a patient care assistant to work one-on-one with an RN, performing delegated tasks and direct care such as taking vital signs, phlebotomy, documenting care, assisting with ADLs, stocking supplies, responding to call lights, and helping with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The role requires lifting 50–100 pounds daily, standing, walking, and sitting for long periods, with exposure to infectious diseases and sharp instruments.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds daily or as required.
• Comfort with standing, walking and sitting for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and delegated tasks under RN supervision.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, document care, assist with ADLs.
• Order and stock supplies, respond to call lights, assist with admissions/transfers/discharges.
• Assist with moving patients and handling specimens for labs, prep for procedures.
