Job summary

WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to aid in patient care on the Nursing Unit under RN direction. You will assist with hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition, and basic procedures, report changes to the nurse, and help orient patients on admission.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED; PA Nursing Assistant Certification is preferred. One year of clinical Direct Patient Care or current enrollment in a health-related program is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of clinical Direct Patient Care or current enrollment in a health-related program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient hygiene, comfort, safety, nutrition and elimination needs.
• Take and communicate vital signs and assist with basic treatments and procedures.
• Document tasks per unit policy and report changes to the nurse.
• Orient patients to the unit and respond to call lights promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and keep the unit orderly.
