Job summary

Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on the unit. You will assist with hygiene, vital signs, intake and output, feeding, bathing, and mobility under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with PA Nursing Assistant Certification preferred; one year of direct patient care or enrollment in a health program is expected. Unit duties include patient transport, documentation, and routine rounding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pennsylvania Nursing Assistant Certification preferred.
• 1 year of recent clinical Direct Patient Care experience or current enrollment in health-related program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including hygiene, comfort, mobility, nutrition and elimination needs.
• Take and record vital signs, weights, glucose monitoring.
• Report patient information to the nurse and document tasks.
• Assist with transfers, rounds, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Prepare and transport patients as needed and perform courier duties within the department.
• Maintain cleanliness of the unit and equipment; respond to call lights promptly.
• Perform duties in emergency situations and adhere to unit policies.
