Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a part-time Nursing Attendant for the Labor and Deliver unit, day shift for 7:00 am to 3:15 am at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. You will be at the bedside, assist with meals, transport and comforting care, while partnering with Nurses and ICU Technicians to keep the unit running smoothly.

Under supervision of a registered nurse, you will measure temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure, and help maintain a clean, safe patient environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required.
• Must meet one of the following: Nurse’s Aide experience in hospital; Certification from Nurse Aide program; BSN enrollment in junior year with at least one clinical practicum.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and monitor vital signs under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with meals and safe patient transport within the unit.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with nurses, ICU technicians and other team members to maintain a safe, clean environment.
