Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a part-time Nursing Attendant for Evening shifts at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York. You will assist nurses, monitor vital signs, and support patients and families in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include bedside care under supervision, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely transport, with opportunities to grow through teamwork and hands-on patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required.
• Previous Nurse's Aide experience in a hospital setting.
• Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program.
• Current enrollment in a BSN program - junior year and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulses and respiration.
• Provide compassionate patient care and assist under RN supervision.
• Transport patients and ensure meals delivery and a safe, clean environment.
• Support nursing staff and help improve patient experience.

Education

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

This is a part time evening shift position, 13:00 pm-11:15 pm, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Required Criteria

High school diploma or GED is required

Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required

Must meet one of the following:

Previous Nurse's Aide experience in a hospital setting

Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program

Current enrollment in a BSN program - at the junior year level and/orcompletion ofat least one clinical practicum

Salary Range:

$25.89-$27.52/Hourly
