Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York seeks a Nursing Attendant for Labor and Delivery on a part-time evening shift. You will support the bedside team, monitor vitals, assist with meals and patient transport, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, with a 13:00–23:15 schedule, three shifts per week, and every other weekend at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required.
• Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved Nurse Aid program or BSN enrollment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Provide comfort and compassionate care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment on the unit.
• Support nurses and ICU technicians as needed.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a part time evening shift position, 13:00 pm-11:15 pm, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Required Criteria

Must Meet One Of The Following

• Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting

• Current enrollment in a BSN program - at the junior year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum

Salary Range

$25.89-$27.52/Hourly
