Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Bronxville, NY is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant for the night shift (11:00 PM – 7:15 AM) at Westchester Hospital, including rotating weekends and holidays. On-site role with commute requirements across NYP facilities.

You will assist with bedside care, monitor vitals, help with meals and transport, and support registered nurses while maintaining a safe, compassionate environment for patients.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required or in progress.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year in acute care or certified long-term care Nursing Assistant preferred.
• CNA training or certification preferred or enrolled in BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration.
• Assist with meals, transport patients, and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Support nurses and care partners at the bedside.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improvepatientexperience andmaintaina safe,clean,and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses,respiration,and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.
This is afull‑time night shiftposition with hours from11:00 PM to 7:15 AM, includingrotating weekends and holidays, based atNewYork‑Presbyterian Westchester HospitalinBronxville, convenientlylocateddirectly across from the Metro‑North station.

Preferred Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

Required Criteria

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant

• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association(BLS)

• PreviousNurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
