Overview

Nursing Assistant - Labor and Delivery (L&D) - Full-time - Evenings

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, measure and record vital signs (temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure).
• Assist with delivering meals and safe patient transport; support a fast-paced, team-based care environment.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment; contribute to improving the patient experience and overall care quality.

Qualifications

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program
• Current BLS Training from the American Heart Association
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Criteria

• Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse's aide in Labor and Delivery or Women's Health

• Location: New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time evening shift (3:30 PM – Midnight); weekends required
• Salary Range: $23.16 - $25.20 hourly
