Job summary

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in Southampton, NY is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Ward Clerk/EKG to provide bedside care under RN supervision. The role includes patient monitoring, EKGs, documentation, and ward clerk tasks to maintain a safe, clean unit.

Requires a High School diploma or GED, and a valid BLS. Six months of healthcare experience preferred; NYS CNA license is a plus. Travel to support related units may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nursing care for assigned patients per policies.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respirations, and BP.
• Document care and vital signs in HIS.
• Perform EKGs.
• Support patient comfort and safety.
• Ward clerk duties as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and equipment.
