Job summary

The Good Samaritan in Tyndall, SD invites applications for a Nursing Assistant Trainee. This learning position develops the care skills needed to support clients under a licensed nurse and a preceptor in a resident-centered program.

Participants learn basic daily care, document care and communicate changes to the supervising nurse, while working toward CNA certification through a hybrid online and hands-on curriculum. Eligible candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• UAP Registry registration where applicable.
• May require Sanford Category II Driver with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Document client care and report changes to the nurse.
• Support the care team and follow location-specific infection prevention policies.
• Learn skills through the hybrid online and hands-on CNA training program.
