Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee. The program develops the skills to provide personal care under licensed supervision, in a hybrid online and hands-on format, with a goal of becoming a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA).

The trainee supports the care team, assists with activities of daily living, and follows the care plan to meet residents’ physical, cognitive, spiritual, emotional, and social needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Vehicle driving ability may be required per Sanford Driving Policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic client-centered care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Work within the non-certified nursing assistant role during training.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic health care needs.
• Document client care and communicate changes in condition to the licensed nurse.
