Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join the MST department. You will support nursing staff by assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care for non-critical patients.

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, you will help maintain a safe environment, follow procedures, and ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Six months’ minimum experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care for non-critical patients.
• Maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team/unit.

Responsibilities

The CNA in the MST department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
