Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in Med/Surg/Telemetry, using the nursing process and collaborating with physicians to monitor patient status. The role requires an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferably a BSN, with additional experience in acute care and ventilator management.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Med/Surg/Telemetry.
• Direct patient/family teaching and guide other nursing personnel.
• Maintain standards of care and communicate with physicians about patient changes.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
