Job summary

UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to support Registered Nurses and provide direct patient care. You will assist with daily living activities, patient mobility, and rounding, in a patient-centered environment.

The position offers 90% FTE with shifts ranging from 6am-4:40pm, 6am-2:30pm, and 7am-3:30pm. A sign-on bonus up to $2700 may be available for external hires, alongside strong benefits and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of State of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program (Required).
  • 1 year recent Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
  • Listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide Registry Upon Hire (Required).
  • BLS/CPR certification within 3 months (Required).

Responsibilities

  • Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses.
  • Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and rounding.
  • Interact with visitors, patients, and family members to establish a trusting relationship and provide high-quality care.

Job description

Work Schedule: 90% FTE - Monday- Friday, working a mix of 8 or 10-hour shifts of 6am-4:40pm, 6am-2:30pm, and 7am-3:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay: External hires may be eligible for up to a $2700 sign on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).
