Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority in Madison is seeking an experienced Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the PACU with 100% FTE, Monday–Friday 10-hour shifts. On-call within 1 hour of report, weekend/holiday rotation, and shift differentials are required.

You will provide direct care, assist with ADLs, and support patient mobility in a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized hospital. Qualifications include Wisconsin-approved CNA program, BLS/CPR within 3 months, and Wisconsin

Qualifications

• Graduate of state-approved Wisconsin Nursing Assistant program required.
• 1 year recent Nursing Assistant experience preferred.
• Listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
• Interact with visitors, patients, and family members to establish trust and deliver high-quality care.

Nursing Assistant, PACU (Finance)

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday through Friday role, working 10-hour shifts. The start time ranges between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., depending on scheduling and operational needs. There is also an on-call requirement, need to report to Hospital within 1 hour, which includes weekend and holiday rotation. On-call shifts may be day or night, again based on department needs.

Pay:

External hires may be eligible for up to a $3000 sign on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). NA Positions include a weekend and evening/night shift differential.
