University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Pre/Post PACU team in Madison, Wisconsin.

The role provides direct patient care, supports RNs, and assists with activities of daily living, mobility, and rounding in a surgical recovery setting.

Qualified applicants must complete a Wisconsin-approved CNA program and hold BLS/CPR certification; a sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program.
  • 1 year recent experience as Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • BLS/CPR certification within 3 months required.

Responsibilities

  • Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on the Pre/Post PACU and provide care to surgical patients.
  • Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments per hospital policies; assist with ADLs, repositioning, transfers, and mobility.
  • Interact with visitors, patients, and family to establish trust and deliver high-quality care.

Nursing Assistant - Pre/Post PACU (Finance)

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, Monday-Friday, Primary shift will be 7:00am -3:30pm to help with our overnight hold patients. Department is open from 5:00am-8:30pm. Closed on weekends and holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay :

  • UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
  • This position may be eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE).

  • We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) to:
  • Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on the Pre/Post PACU and provide care to surgical patients.

Work Experience

  • 1 year recent experience as a Nursing Assistant Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire Required
  • BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required
