NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Nursing Float Pool for the evening shift (3:30 PM – Midnight). You will be at the bedside, monitor vital signs, assist with meals and safe transport, and collaborate with nurses and technicians to keep patients comfortable and the unit running smoothly.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved CNA program, current BLS, and ideally 1 year of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Nurse Assistant training program.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitor vital signs and record measurements accurately.
• Assist with meals, mobility, and patient transport.
• Provide compassionate bedside care under RN supervision.
• Float to multiple units as needed to support care teams.

Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport.

Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment.

Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.

Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care

Float to all units-in the hospital such as - Med-Surg- Critical Care-Psychiatry- Emergency Department or where needed.

This a full-time evening position (3:30PM-Midnight) New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, weekends and holidays required.

Preferred Criteria Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital

Required Criteria High school diploma or GED Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program or current Enrollment in a BSN program & completion of at least 1 clinical rotation Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Excellent communication and customer service skills Basic computer skill
